Answering system operation
Remote access
A three-digit security code is required to access your
answering system from any touch-tone telephone.
This code is 500 by default, see Changing feature
options (page 24) to change it.
NOTE: If you
pause for more than
15 seconds during
remote access, you
will hear “The
machine will now
hang up,” then the
call will end automati-
cally.

Dial your telephone
number from any
touch-tone telephone.
2.
When the system
answers, enter three-
digit remote access
code (500 unless you
have changed it).

Enter remote com-
mands (see list at
right).

Hang up to end the
call and save all
undeleted messages.
Play all messages

Press to listen to all messages.
Play new messages

Press to listen to new messages.
Delete the messages

Press once during playback to delete
current message. Press twice to delete
all old messages in idle mode.
Repeat or go back

Press during the caller’s message
to repeat the message. Press during
the beginning of the day and time
announcement to go back to the
previous message.
Stop

Press to stop any operation (stop
playback, stop recording).
Skip to next message

and advance to next message.
