About Photos
iPod touch lets you carry photos and videos with you, so you can share them with your
family, friends, and associates. You can sync photos and videos from your computer,
view photos and videos taken with iPod touch, and use photos as wallpaper. You can
also send photos and videos in email messages, and upload photos and videos to
MobileMe galleries.
Note: Video and camera features are available on iPod touch 4th generation.
Syncing Photos and Videos with Your Computer
iTunes can sync your photos and videos with the following applications:
Mac: iPhoto 4.0.3 or later (syncing videos requires iPhoto 5 or later), or Aperture
(photos only)
PC: Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 or later (photos only)
You can also sync photos and videos from any folder on your computer that contains
images. See “Syncing with iTunes” on page 46.
iPod touch supports H.264 and MPEG-4 video formats, with AAC audio. If you are
having trouble syncing a video to iPod touch, you might be able to use iTunes to
create an iPod touch version of the video.
Create an iPod touch version of a video:
1 Copy the video to your iTunes library.
2 In iTunes, select Movies in the Library list and select the video you want to sync.
3 Choose Advanced > “Create iPod or iPhone Version.”
